Golden Skull Strike ~ My Impression
[build prof=Assassin/Warrior][Dark Prison][Tiger Stance][Golden Skull Strike][Horns of the Ox][Falling Lotus Strike][Blades of Steel][Impale][Sharpen Daggers][/build]
Dagger Mastery: 12+1+1
Critical Strikes: 10+1
Deadly Arts: 8+1
Alternate skills:
[Assassin's Remedy], [Critical Defenses] <---- sharpen daggers
You can also sub out dark prison for a res or self heal.

When I saw GSS on the list of buffed elites, I knew I had to come up with a build for it. I tryed it out in AB and it seemed to take down monks very easily. The only problem I had was when capping, I couldn't use horns of the ox because of the targets being too close. I thought that this build might work better in AB but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet.
[build prof=Assassin/Warrior][Dark Prison][Tiger Stance][Golden Skull Strike][Death Blossom][Golden Phoenix Strike][Blades of Steel][Impale][Way of the Lotus][/build]~~~ Build doesnt work! ~~~
So, tell me what you think. If you don't like it, please don't tell me that it's crap... simply say how you would improve it. Thanks!

The problem with the first bar is that you never take advantage of the daze. Falling lotus/blades will hit during the KD, and by the time impale's aftercast is over, the daze is gone. There's also the problem of catching up to the target because of DP's aftercast.

Like Masamune said, you don't really take advantage of the Daze due to the opponent being on the ground.
And in your second build, do you get the +damage from Moebius on BoS? Or does it recharge too soon?

I cant think of any way to make this better, but your builds arent so great either. I dont think this skill has much potential. maybe without the shadow step?

This, plus don't run Sharpen Daggers over Assassin's Remedy kthx.
EDIT: I considered Bleeding as cover condition. But if that's what you're after, [[Way of the Lotus] powering [[Falling Spider] would work a lot better. Just saying.
Your second build doesn't work. [[Way of the Lotus] is removed by Blossom, meaning [[Golden Phoenix Strike] misses entirely.

I see how the build actually works if you save the knockdown while letting both hex and daze take effect, when you get to about half, then start pulling the rest. I'm not sure if the rest of you are just seeing it all thrown out at once.
Also since impale has that damn charge, I almost could suggest trying poision asp and horns of the ox instead of blades just to see how well that works nerfing any heal monks use before it. If it don't work I don't know what else to suggest.

But this build is in general casters-only, it wouldn't fair so well against melee classes.(probably not so much devs, since they use enchantments buffs so unless you caught them while they're casting otherwise this build might have a hard time with them)
So while this is good for shut down monks, what if others come in? I had one instance where while I was trying to spike a monk, 2 other sins came in and took me out just as the monk died.
I guess C.D. could have helped but don't know how much.

its designed to take out casters so why would you aim for a melee?
anyways wiki version is best imo

Does the wiki version have enough damage to kill off a monk by its self??? I haven't tryed it but it doesnt appear to just from first glance.

same attack chain as wiki
[golden skull strike] [twisting fangs] [golden phoenix strike] [blades of steel]
but instead of:
[tiger stance] [assassin's remedy] [crippling dagger]
this:
[whirling charge] [attackers insight] [harriers grasp]

Sometimes you don't have a choice, it's best to prepare for the unprepared. Temple Strike is a better variant imo.

I had been using something like this
[[golden skull strike], [[twisting fangs], [[golden phoenix strike], [[blades of steel], [[conjure lightning].
the other 3 skills are open to what ever you want I usually like dash to be able to keep up. No ias kinda stinks but with daze it doesn't seem to be as big a deal as it would be on the old sp bars. The two independent combos are pretty useful as well and you do okay auto attack damage.
